Burger King attacks the right to organize in Spain

No%20a%20los%20despidos%20Burger%20King%20SpainIn recent weeks Burger King Spain SLU which manages over 380 restaurants, has dismissed two union workplace leaders in response to union activity, Carmen Poveda and Sara Faddane, and one union member, Aitor Romero.

 

Their union, IUF affiliate CC.OO has filed a claim in the courts for unfair dismissal and violation of freedom of association.The union has also launched a public campaign to denounce this anti-trade union behaviour, to demand the reinstatement of the dismissed workers and to guarantee full freedom of association and election of representatives of workers in the company.
